Take a look at this equally appealing and equally room-filling wireless speaker from Polk, the Woodbourne. It’s surprising that this is the first product of its kind from a brand best known for their personal speaker systems, but it certainly was well worth the wait. Working with both AirPlay and Bluetooth as well as wired connections with Dolby Digital decoding, this tabletop streaming audio speaker combines two 5-1/4″-inch mineral filled injection molded PP cone mid-woofers with rubber surrounds and two 1″ silk dome tweeters all within one clean warm mahogany veneer housing with a simple white grille. The Woodbourne also supports iOS charging via USB and an ethernet connection and also comes with its own App and a remote control to match its beautifully designed front panel. The Polk Audio Woodbourne will be available after March 2013 for $599.

Casio has just revealed its Bluetooth 4.0-enabled prototype model. The technologically pioneering timepiece can be synchronized to your smart phone and can alert you of incoming calls, texts, emails and other such activities. The watch is not only equipped to receive information but is also able to set off an alarm to allow you to locate your phone, should you have misplaced it nearby. Each of the features will soon be integrated to some of Casio’s most popular lines, including the G-Shock series. The release of the first model is expected somewhere between the next 12 to 24 months.
