Admit it — when Jordan left the league the first time, basketball was left with a huge void (understatement). But when he announced his return to the game in March of ’95, everyone (us included) had a reason to eagerly watch James Naismith’s beautiful invention once again. For those old enough to remember, His Airness returned sporting the number “45.” As well as donning a fresh jersey, Michael rocked a new colorway of his Air Jordan X sneaker which was already equiped with “45” stitched on the ankle where his famed “23” once stood. But guess what Jordan fans — the “Chicago” X’s are making their way back next year, presumably in January. These are definitely one of the most anticipated retroes in Jordan history as many never expected a return.
