While the LeBron 9 and KD IV installments of the Nike Basketball Black History Month Collection feature the African-inspired print on the insoles and on select portions of the shoe, the Kobe VII shows no reserve as the colorful print is used on the entire upper, inner lining, and outsole. The detailed artwork serves as the anchor for this year’s BHM Collection.

Confirmation of this release comes as no surprise as 2012 marks the 23rd Anniversary of the Air Jordan IV. The last time the White/Cement colorway hit stores was in 1999, just one year after Jordan’s retirement, and in that thirteen year span, you can expect a number of discrepancies between the ’99 and ’12 versions, starting with the logo on the heel. Expect a Jumpman logo prominently featured on the heel, as well as a synthetic leather upper – noticeably of lesser quality than the materials used from years ago. February 2012 is the projected month of this release, and you can certainly expect more Air Jordan IV releases for next year.
