Jordan Brand has been killing it recently with their rereleases and now they’re looking to add a glow-in-the-dark colorway to the IV Retro lineup. Dubbed the “Green Glow,” the sneaker features a grey suede upper with accents of black, white, and of course green. The fun starts though when the lights are shut off and the green accenting lights up for that seriously retro look reminiscent of days when kids would stomp around in LA Gear.
The Green Glows are expected to hit retailers in October at a price point of around $200. In any case we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we hear more news.
While the LeBron 9 and KD IV installments of the Nike Basketball Black History Month Collection feature the African-inspired print on the insoles and on select portions of the shoe, the Kobe VII shows no reserve as the colorful print is used on the entire upper, inner lining, and outsole. With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, the usual green tributes to the holiday are about to roll out in droves. The Nike Lebron James V2 Entourages are dope not only because of how limited they are but I feel the color combo demand attention. Inspired by the poster for the HBO hit show “Entourage,” the latest Nike LeBron 8 V2 is surefire head-turner, much like walking past King James himself. A Photo Blue Flywire-infused upper is complemented by matching patent leather on the midfoot. The same material is used in a perforated variety on the backside of the collar, and the Max Air sole boasts the same bright blue hue. Tour Yellow appears on the outsole, Swoosh surround and other key accents, including the Lion on the tongue’s eyes.

These sneakers mimic the album art from The Low End Theory, a cornerstone of classic 90s hip-hop from A Tribe Called Quest. The burning red swoosh takes its color from the painted lady on the album of the same name, with the swirling print on the black suede upper also echoing the cover art. Friday Night (September 9th) I went to Loft 33 to support my boy Leo Velasquez aka LV the Stylist that was debuting his highly anticipated line Evident Future Spring/Summer 2012. The presentation was amazing really a lot of dope pieces and not a typical runway fashion show; the models were displayed like you would see sculptures at an art gallery. The vibe was great; R & B artist Miguel and TV personality Jonathan Cheban were on hand to support LV. Hennessey open bar always helps and I have a new favorite drink, which is Berry Hennessey, I always liked my Henny on the rocks but I can most defiantly mess with this!
For those that don’t know Leo, he’s such a great hard working individual who makes everyone around him better. Leo is a Queens native that for the last year was Usher’s stylist for his entire world tour, and his client list is endless from current R & B artist Miguel, Lamar Odom, Kid Cudi Leo has always maintained to be humble and the same old funny guy I know for the last couple of years, I am defiantly really proud of him and happy to see how he has evolved. Much props to him, we owe him a lot he has helped our brand with alot of product placement on celebrities.
